Scent Of A Woman

I love perfume. Not only does it make me smell pretty but it puts the finishing touches on my outfit before I go to work, school, or out on the town. Here are a few of my faves:

From Left to Right:
Vera Wang - Princess
Burberry - Touch for Women
Alfred Sung - Sung
Issey Miyake - This has to be one of my all time favorites. Such a classic scent. I'll be wearing it for years to come.
Michael Kors - Michael Kors (One of my all time favorites)
Lancome - Tropiques
Lancome - Tresor
Victoria Secret's - Halo
Dana - Loves Baby Soft (reminds me of when I was a kid growing up. I don't wear it often, but when I want to feel close to my mom, I'll spray a little)
Benefits - Laugh with me Lee Lee
Aquolina - Pink Sugar (I love this scent but it reminds me of my girl Summer. Hard for me to adopt it as mine. LOL)
Harajuku Lovers - Love
Victoria's Secret - Sexy Little Things Noir

What are yours?

Life Unexpectedly Cancelled

I don't know about you, but I am a TVaholic. Seriously, can't get enough. I am ALWAYS finding new shows to DVR and get addicted to. The bf is always talking shit because when he comes home, he finds my in my pj's, in bed, watching TV, no matter what time of day. Don't get me wrong, I work, go to school, make time for friends, family, and activities, but for real, my hobby is TV watching. LOL. And when shows I absolutely love gets cancelled, I feel like a little piece of me dies with it. I mean, I put so much time into these shows, and when they unexpectedly get cancelled, it's even worse. Take for instance, CW's Life Unexpected show... there were rumors it would get cancelled, but there was no final announcement until I watched this weeks episode. The ending says it all. If you watch this show, let me know, I need someone to cry with! R.I.P Life Unexpected, you will be missed!

Oh and on a side note, really CW, you cancelled this show, but you're keeping Nakita?! Wack. No offense to you Nakita fans. Ha.

Can You Spot The Real From The Fake?

I decided to write this post after my girl was all excited and told me she purchased MAC lip gloss and eye shadow at the Swap Meet for only $5; now, I love her to death but I almost pissed myself from laughing so hard at her. Who in their right mind thinks that MAC would ever be sold at a swap meet and be true MAC makeup?! But then again, I'm not here to point and laugh at her (well maybe a little) because I remember a few times I bought fake stuff.

I'm not on here to tell you how to spot fake make-up. We all know where MAC is sold and for how much; if you find it at the swap meet for $5, it's fake. Enough said. I want to know, what fake product(s) have you  purchased before; whether you knew they were fake or not. I want to hear your embarrassing stories. I'll go first:

I was maybe 18 or 19 and I went to NY for my first time; I purchased a Prada and Gucci purse, I think for a total of $20...yep, and I sported those bags like they were the real things. There wasn't no shame in my game back then.

My second fake purchase was a Movado watch. I wanna say I got that in NY too, or maybe Rocky Point, either way, that sucker was fake. I had this BF back then and I remember I went out to visit him in some state (he played college ball, so he moved away) and I was at his house and he picked up my watch and was like "this watch is fake!" It wasn't the way he really said it, but the look of disgust on his face that I wanted to die from embarrassment. Not only was he calling me out on my watch, but as he was doing so, he was rocking a real one on his wrist. Wonder if that's why he and I broke up. LOL.

My next fake purchase when I was around 23, it was when those Louis Vuitton "Cherry Blossom" bags came out. My girl went on ebay and snatched us up two. I rocked that bitch for about a month and finally had to put it away because I just couldn't be that girl rockin a fake bag. Well any longer. LOL. A month was long enough.

Last but not least, it was when my current bf and I started dating I wanted to get him some dope BBC Ice Cream shoes, and when I won the auction on ebay I was soo ecstatic until they came in the mail and I opened the package and saw how fake looking the shoes were. The damn diamonds didn't even look like diamonds. Lets just say, I never bought anything fake again. I now only purchase shoes/clothes/makeup from the websites themselves, or in stores that I KNOW for a fact is legit!

Mi Casa Es Su Casa

If you’ve noticed a sudden influx of eerily immaculate portrait tattoos in the Phoenix Metro area, there’s a good chance they’re the work of Andrick Aviles. Soft spoken with a worldly charm, Andrick is only 19 years old, with only three years of experience under his belt.Yes, THREE, but don’t let that number fool you. With a client roster that includes Amare Stoudemire and Arizona Cardinals star safety, Adrian Wilson, Andrick’s love for his craft and steadfast determination has led him to ultmately become Phoenix’s youngest and most sought after ink slinger. With influences ranging from Jun Cha and Jose Lopez, to The Doors and Etta James, Andrick found themes of past eras consistently catching his attention; he is an old soul and true artist.
Hailing from Mexico City, Andrick and his family moved to Arizona when he was two years old. After 14 years of enduring the battle of gaining permanent residency in the states, the Aviles family finally had their chance at opportunity. But like most people today, they struggled to raise the necessary funds, leaving the family in crisis. Enter Scottsdale Arizona’s most reputable menswear boutique, Highpoint Shoes. Besides offering an exceptional selection of shoes and clothing, Highpoint is well known for its “Family First” mantra and widespread philanthropic efforts. After working on several of its staff, Andrick became Highpoint’s official tattoo artist and “adopted baby brother”. The hometown heroes, (in conjunction with booming brand, Dearly Departed and The Adrian Wilson Foundation), decided to band together to do the right thing and support their friend.
On Friday, January 28th, Highpoint Shoes will host “Mi Casa, Su Casa” to benefit the Aviles family and their ultimate goal of becoming LEGAL U.S. citizens. From 9 to 11 pm, there will be clothing raffles, open bar, and an auction featuring artwork from local legends, Dumperfoo, Joshua Rhodes, Isse Maloi, and many more. ALL proceeds will be donated to the family to turn their dreams into reality. To learn more about Andrick, visit www.andrickaviles.tumblr.com.

Furla Candy Bags

These new Furla Candy Bags are arriving Spring 2011. Too bad they're retailing for $195 (ouch). They are extremely adorable though. They come in five bright colors and are completely transparent.  On second thought, I don't know if I want a transparent bag. LOL
