Joe Arpaio's Chain Gang
I was coming off the freeway the other day and I saw a real life chain gang. And it was a women's chain gang!! Now I've only seen them in movies, so I was a little excited to see this in person. I know that's kinda messed up to be excited at other people's expense, but whatever, I didn't do the crime. I am way too cute to go to jail or prison. No thank you!
Kid Cudi - Day and Night video
I still don't know where I first heard this song, but it's starting to show up everywhere. Kid Cudi dropped a music video for it. There's a cameo from Travis Barker in it. The video is quite interesting. LOL.

Happy Love Day
The bf is out of town this weekend, so we celebrated Valentines Day a few days early. Last night, I surprised him with this fancy ass meal..consisting of sun-dried tomato pesto with basil and goat cheese stuffed in chicken and then coated with Italian bread crumbs on a bed of mashed sweet potatoes and green beans. Seriously, I have to pat myself on the back because that ish was to die for. I also got him a few of his goodies that I know he likes and we popped a bottle of champagne (cheap of course, people are broke these days. LOL). And to my surprise, I got home today and there was a package waiting for me...kudos to my thoughtful bf. I heart you baby!
This is his gift to me!
This is what I got him
And this was from this past weekend in Cali. I've always wanted to do this in the sand. I can now scratch this off from my "To Do" list

One Life to Live
Who says soap opera actors can't act? Bree Williamson from the soap One Life to Live is one of the best actresses I have seen thus far. Yes, yes, I know, soaps are stupid, but whatever, I've watched one life to live for almost 20 years. Anyway, in the clip she is burying her husband. SOOO sad! I love this performance...I swear it breaks my heart. :(
Solo Coffee
I ran across this cute coffee shop, Solo Coffee & Tea House, in Tempe today. Now I'm all for starbucks, but I also love supporting mom & pop joints. If you're ever on Mill & Baseline, check them out. For more info, click here

Really?!
I've passed by these two posters numerous times while strolling the aisles of Dillard's and every time I think to myself, "what the hell is going on?" It just bugs me that the one kid is trying to be all gangsta-hard ass, and the other is rocking some wack sunglasses trying to be the next soulja boy. Why can't these kids be reading some books instead?? Seriously though in this age where we now have a black president, this just seems to have a stereo typical feel to it; young black men only becoming thugs or rappers! Whatever, I'm pissy!Happy Black History Month.

Chocolate Lovers
Historic Downtown Glendale will be a chocolate lover’s paradise Feb. 6-8, as the 14th annual Glendale Chocolate Affaire celebrates with music, romance and an abundance of that sinfully delicious confection, as well as free admission and free parking!
Chocoholics will delight in the three dozen chocolate purveyors, discovering everything from chocolate-covered potato chips to chocolate chile pecans to goat milk fudge.
The Chocolate Affaire is sponsored by Arizona’s famous candy makers, Cerreta’s. The candy factory will offer tours all weekend, so visitors can get a behind-the-scenes look at how the chocolatiers create everyone’s favorite candy.
So, what goes better with chocolate than romance? The festival has become the largest gathering of national romance novelists in the Southwest. This symposium of literary romantics offers fans the opportunity to get up close and personal with authors, as well as the chance to attend free writing workshops given by the experts.
Families with children will enjoy myriad activities, including hands-on arts and crafts, face-painting and a rock-climbing wall. Horse-drawn carriage rides will be available throughout the weekend to take couples or families on a scenic, charming ride through the historic Catlin Court district.
Event hours are Friday 5 - 10 p.m., Saturday 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. and Sunday noon to 5 p.m. The event is located in the heart of Historic Downtown Glendale, in Murphy Park, located at 58th and Glendale avenues.
