SATC Prequel???

Rumor has it (although no contracts have been signed) that they may be coming out with a Sex and the City prequel which would follow Carrie, Samantha, Miranda, and Charlotte through their teens into their twenties, based on author Candace Bushnell's novels "The Carrie Diaries" (which I have and can't seem to get through because it is a yawn fest) and "Summer and the City."

The rumored cast includes Blake Lively as Samantha, Selena Gomez as Charlotte, Emma Roberts as Mirands, and Carrie's role would go to Elizabeth Olsen, the younger sister of Mary Kate and Ashley.

This is solely my opinion but don't eff with Carrie Bradshaw and the girls with this nonsense movie. Ugh. I hope this is all just a rumor!

Would you go see it?

Legends Are Forever

Director Robert Rodriguez along with Kobe Bryant teamed up to bring you this short film titled "The Black Mamba" (Kobe's moniker for some of you that don't already know). It stars Kobe, Bruce Willis, and Kanye West (peep Kanye's freak out..pretty hilarious)

iPic Theaters

A new Scottsdale Quarter theater that offers a luxurious experience that includes premium seating, cocktail lounge, freshly made concession items and a restaurant can be found at iPic Theaters. Recently opened on December 17th.

Located at 15257 N. Scottsdale Rd.  at the Scottsdale Quarter. Movie prices range from $14-$25 Sunday-Thursday, and $17.50-$25 Friday and Saturday. This does sound a little steep, but at least you know you won't be sitting next to teenagers making your movie going experience a living hell.

This would be an ultimate date-night or girls night out.

127 Hours

I'm not a huge movie goer but this movie looks good

James Franco plays Aron Ralston, the hiker who in 2003 was trapped for four days under a boulder and had to amputate his own arm with a dull knife to survive. If that made your stomach turn, you're not the only one; it's being reported that at early viewings of the movie, between 13-16 people have fainted from watching it. Even so, I want to go see it.

Movies In The Park

Ever since I watched Jennifer Lopez in the Wedding Planner in the scene where they're watching a movie in the park, I've always wanted to do that. Well fortunately enough, I found two places (so far) that shows movies in the park. Kiwanis Park in Tempe and the Biltmore Fashion Park. Kiwanis is aimed for family night only showing G rated movies. Whereas the Biltmore is catered to the grown-ups. Check out the movies they'll be playing below.

Kiwanis:

Biltmore: Enjoy classic and favorite American films under the stars every Friday night at 7:30 p.m. on the Center Lawn.
This season's movie lineup is:
October 1 – Funny Face
October 8 – Raiders of the Lost Ark
October 15 – The Seven Year Itch
October 22 – Chinatown
October 29 – Young Frankenstein
November 5 – Bye Bye Birdie
November 12 – North by Northwest
November 19 – The Great Gatsby
November 26 – no movie

Just Say No To Movies!

I've said it before and I'll say it again, I'm not a big fan of the movies....I hate the crowds and the people eating all up in your ear (the last time I went, some lady was eating an apple right next to me! Who does that? It was all crunching in my ear, ugh), so I try to stay away from opening weekends, or holiday weekends. So instead, I create my own movie night thanks to the Dollar Store, minus the movie. Although, you can get movies at RedBox, Netflix, or where I like to go, FYE and get them used for hella cheap.

1, 2, Freddy's Coming For You

One of my favorite scary movies of all time (I know that's weird hearing since I'm not a fan of scary movies anymore), aside from The Exorcist, is a Nightmare on Elm Street. I used to watch both movies when I was younger without any type of fear (unlike now where it scares the bejesus out of me. LOL). I remember I used to go around singing "1, 2 Freddy's coming for you..." and wishing I could be Heather (what the hell was wrong with me?), although, it's funny because to this day, I get a little apprehensive if I have to go down a street called Elm. Ha. When I saw this trailer for the new Elm Street, I got super excited. Looks hella good to me...the only thing I'm having trouble with is Freddy's voice.... it's NOTHING like the creepy ">Robert Englund. Here's the new trailer; tell what you think!

This Is Why I Love...Mark Wahlberg

I fell in love with Mark Wahlberg when he was the poster boy for Calvin Klein and my crush hasn't went away, and this is why:

The way he walks up in this part is sooo hot. Don't mind the stupid music on this vid (I mean I love this song, but really to the background of the Italian Job? Lame). I couldn't find a scene for this movie...weird. Just admire his hotness. Lastly, I was trying to find the final scene of Boogie Nights, you know the scene where you see Dirk Digglers gigantic weiner, well I couldn't find it anywhere, so instead I leave you with the second best thing:

R.I.P, Patrick Swayze

Oh how I wanted a boyfriend like Johnny....

And for all of you that didn't know, he was also a singer. Here's a song he did from the Dirty Dancing movie.

R.I.P John Hughes

One of the great writers and directors of the 80's, John Hughes, passed away today. Some of the movies he wrote are:
Sixteen Candles, The Breakfast Club, Pretty in Pink, Weird Science, Uncle Buck, She's having a Baby, Ferris Bueller's Day Off, Home Alone, and so on. My teenage years would be nothing without you, Mr. Hughes. Thank you....

Man, I remember watching this and always wanting Jake Ryan to come and take me away.

Sixteen Candles - Final Scene - Movie Ending - More free videos are here

I loved how Molly Ringwald danced in this scene of The Breakfast Club

And this goes out to my cousin, Babe, this is her favorite scene and movie

Adios One Tree Hill

Chad Michael Murray no longer married to One Tree Hill.
The triple-named actor, along with fellow original castmember Hilarie Burton, will not be returning for the series' seventh season next fall, the CW confirms to E! News.
No formal reason was given for the departure of the stars, though the duo had been in protracted contract negotiations with the network for several months.
The CW said that two new characters will be introduced next season in an attempt to placate fans and rebuild the call sheet. Murray and Burton have been with the show since its 2003 debut on the WB.
Writers have wrapped up the storylines of characters Peyton and Lucas rather nicely: The duo tied the knot in last night's episode, and will make their final appearance on next Monday's season finale.

Old School Video of the Week

This is on the top of my list of one of my most favorite movies. Anyone who has been in love or is in love now, will get the same feeling as I do when I watch this last scene; it's so intense.....how hard would you fight to keep the one you love?

If you haven't seen this movie, then ya needs to go out and rent it ASAP.. but to give you the run down since I couldn't find a video of the entire scene... she wakes him up the night before his wedding to try and win him back.... and in my opinion what she says next is the best line in the movie... "I'll play you".... Omar says, "for what"? ... "your heart"

The intensity in her game, the love in her eyes, the determination for her to play with everything she has.... through the sweat, pain, and knowing she could possibly lose just gets me every time.... I'll be back, going to get a kleenex for my tears.
