The Living Room

Over the weekend I met up with a girlfriend of mine and met at this new, chic wine bar called, The Living Room. They have two locations, one in Chandler, and one in Phoenix. The place was super cute, real chill and played good music. This is definitely not a night on the prowl to find a man. However it's definitely somewhere to take a date or to meet up with your girlfriends and giggle over cocktails. She and I enjoyed some bruchetta and wine. Very dope evening if you ask me. Definitely check it out if you're in the area. 

More E.L.F

I'm telling you, I can't get enough of E.L.F. cosmetics. They are super cheap, yet the makeup itself isn't cheap. Today I received my newest order which consists of their Golden Bronzer for only $3 and it's fabulous.

I also purchased their mineral eyeshadow in Caffeinated which I wore today and I absolutely LOVE!

And their Eye Primer and Liner Sealer which sets your eyeshadow so you don't get the makeup creases along with the liner sealer which keeps your eyeliner from running down your eyes.

All of the above product was only $3 each, but if you subscribe to their website, they send you coupons all the time....the coupon I used for the above product was buy one, get one half off. I seriously spent barely $14 and I got like 6 things.

I also got their Natural Nymph lipstick... I've always worn Angel or Snob by MAC to give me that "natural", but I wanted something a little more nude, so I went with ELF's Natural color and I wore it today and I have to say, I'm impressed. So now, I'm going back online and buying like 3 more colors.

I just found out they now have cream eyeliner....I can't wait to use it. I'll let you know what I think when I buy it. I just received my product today and I'm already placing another order. They're having a sale right now....the buy one get one half off! Hurry, sale ends Oct. 4th. Happy shopping!

Barbie Theme Suite

This past June (yes, I'm a little late) The Palms Resort in Las Vegas unveiled a new suite called the Barbie Suite for the 50th anniversary of Barbie. All decked out in pink (of course) and decorated by Jonathan Adler from his "Barbie Loves Jonathan Adler" collection.

I sooo want to stay here. Although it will run you around $3000 a night, however it does fit about 50 people. Bachelorette party anyone?!

Lush Bubblegum Lip Scrub

My girl Summer put me on the new beauty line Lush over at her blog awhile ago, but I had never tried it until she gave me the Lush Bubblegum Lip Scrub ($8.95) this past weekend for my birthday. All I can say is I am in LOVE with it.

Lush Lip Scrub helps exfoliate dry, chapped lips. Just apply some to your lips with your finger, and either rub the sugar with your finger or move your lips back and forth. When you're done, lick the sugar off and enjoy your softer lips and yummy taste.

Minx Yourself

Sephora has just started selling Minx nail prints. They're fairly easy to apply, just rub the strip of printed sheet, apply to your fingernails or toenails, file and trim and you're ready to go. 

The designs include stars, skulls. anchors, checkers, fishnet, chrome lace, tiger print, and black & gold geometric. 

A complete set sells for $15 at the store and online.

Smell My Finger

Channeling the grade school fun of a scratch and sniff sticker, Revlon has created a summer-special line of scented nail polishes, for the second year in a row (I didn't know about the first year. LOL). The color pop shades smell good enough to eat with scents like: Orange Smoothie, Ocean Breeze, Peach Smoothie, Orange Pop, Gum Drop, Grapy Icy, Cotton Candy, and Bubble Gum. Limited edition, they're available now through July 2010 at a local drugstore near you.

Each scent lasts roughly 4-5 days and even emanates through the clear coat.

But here's a little hint if you can't find these bad boys, you can make your own scented polishes at home. Just add 5-6 drops of your favorite scent (just make sure it's not too oily) to your top coat, and voila, your own scented polish.

Our Favorite Girl Has Grown Up

Hello Kitty is FINALLY old enough to drink....or at least old enough to make wines. You heard me right, Ms. Kitty herself is launching her own wine collection. There will be four different types of wine: the Angel and Devil Pinot Neros, Brut Rose, Demi-Sec Sweet Pink sparkling wine. The wines are produced and bottled in Italy, and will be available for purchase on the Hello Kitty Wines website soon. Prices will range from $19.99-$29.99. Although I'm not one for spending a lot of money on wine, I am def going to be one of the first people in line to get this. Especially since the packaging is so damn cute: the corks are covered with bubblegum pink foil, and the labels feature Hello Kitty in different ensembles (i.e. a cupid getup for the Angel label).

E.L.F Cosmetics

If you don't know about E.L.F (Eyes, Lips, Face) cosmetics, you're sleeping. Everything on the website is a dollar....ok, there are some things that are $3, but it's still a good price. I just received all my goodies in the mail today. They include: eye shadow primer, under eye concealer/highlighter, blush, lip gloss, and other fun stuff. check out their website here

Tom Ford x Estée Lauder

The sexy that is Tom Ford is teaming up with Estée Lauder which will bring you a new color collection that will launch in Europe in April and then hit the U.S in June. There will be 12 color shades all made up of soja seed extract, Brazilian murumuru butter and chamomilla flower oil. However, don't expect the lipsticks to be cheap, each one will be priced at $45....ouch! 

Jewelry Just Got Sexier

California-based jewelry company Dogeared has officially licensed the Sex & The City brand from HBO to produce a line of SATC themed necklaces! Charms will include a stiletto, a diamond, and the Eiffel tower in either gold or silver. The necklaces will come on label cards which will feature memorable quotations from the show, such as "I've been dating since I was 15. I'm exhausted! Where is he?" Available this spring at HBO.com and Dogeared.com, the necklaces will range in price from $55-$200.

Forever 21 to Launch New Make-Up Line

Forever 21 is expanding their brand with the introduction of Love & Beauty, the new Forever 21 cosmetic line. Forever 21 spokeswoman Kirstin Nagle said, "It made sense as a next step. If you think of our customer, she loves being on-trend and, to complete her look, we had everything in our stores except the cosmetics piece."
The range will cover all the makeup bases, with products for lips, eyes, nails, face, fragrance, and assorted tools and accessories like cosmetic bags, tweezers and brushes. And, in keeping with Forever 21's signature pricing, nothing costs more than $10. But, don't let that fool you into thinking that the makeup isn't of good quality; Nagle says, "We are using a lot of the vendors that are making prestige cosmetics. It is the same quality as prestige vendors, but at Forever 21 prices."

Somebody Stop Me...

I can't tell you enough how much I love the holidays...the food, family, festivities. I think some people forget to stop and smell the poinsettias when it comes to this time of year. I was in Target today and I saw this little girl in the Christmas isle and she was giggling and oooing and awwwwing, and it put a smile on my face. My poor bf doesn't stand a chance with all the activities I want to do this year (LOL). Anyway, here are a few things that I bought today:
