Check out Jessica Biels new commercial for Revlon Grow Luscious Plumping Mascara. The actress stars opposite another baby daddy of mine, Pharrell Williams (who also wrote and produced the music in the ad). Damn you, Jessica - you're so lucky! Love the song and commercial by the way (yes it's only because Pharrell is in it)

More ELF...I'm Addicted
E.L.F Cosmetics had a Valentines sale where a majority of their products were half off their already cheap prices so I couldn't pass this up. I didn't want to dig for it all, so I only put a few items in the pic.
I got 2 new blushes, 2 eye shadows, 2 cream eye shadows, 2 lip glosses, fake eyelashes, nail polish remover pads, along with some other things that I can't think of. LOL. Heart it all!

I think I just found my new fav lip gloss from ELF cosmetics! It's their Mineral Lip Gloss. The soft and silky formula glides onto lips to create a luscious shine without feeling sticky. The sheer tint of color is the perfect hue to give you a beautiful and natural glossy look. Infused with Coconut Oil and key vitamins A&E to protect and moisturize your lips. The price can't be beat at only $3 a tube.

Zit Zapper
I know, I know, the name Zit Zapper doesn't sound too appealing, however, it is one of my favorite items form E.L.F cosmetics. Not only do I put it on those pesky little zits, but I use it after I wax my eyebrows and well lets be real, my damn mustache. LMAO. It takes the red away after I wax. And what's even better, it's only $1!!!!
This product zap zits away with the unique blend of salicylic acid, tea tree oil, witch hazel, and camphor. The special formula helps to fight and prevent acne, reduce redness and swelling, minimize pore size and clear skin. Absolutely love it!

Maybeline Falsies Mascara
I finally decided to purchase the Falsies mascara (I mean the commercial sold me), so when I first took the wand out of the mascara, I thought it was going to break on me. I'm still unsure about the wand, it freaks me out and I've been using the mascara for a few weeks now; the wand seems so flimsy to me but I kept on using it. All in all, the product did in fact make my eyelashes longer than they normally are. However did I feel that my eyes were as dramatic as they normally are when I do wear false eyelashes? Not in the least. Do I recommend this product? Sure, just realize that you won't be seeing your lashes all hella long and "false" looking. I've stalked a few other websites and they all seem to love the product and their eyelashes look amazing! Maybe I did mine wrong. LOL.
Before - Don't be laughing at my eyebrows that need waxing! eek!
After - Yes, the product clumped for me.... don't know what I did wrong. Ha! But as you can see, my lashes are longer than without the mascara.
E.L.F Forever!
I think I am slowly becoming obsessed with E.L.F cosmetics. I've noticed that I'm ordering from them like twice a month. LOL. I received my newest order and I'm super excited to share with you all my goodies!
1. Mineral Face Primer - $6 - Developed to combat against excess oil, flaky dryness, enlarged pores, and fine lines. I've used it for a few days now and I absolutely LOVE it!
2. Studio Cream Eyeliner in Purple w/ wand - $3- haven't used it yet.... planning on using it tomorrow. I will keep you posted on what I think about it.
3. Mineral Blush in Peachy - $5 - It creates a subtle color of definition that added radiance and a nice glow. Again, I LOVED this product.
4. Mineral Eyeshadow in Celebrity - $3 - I previously did a post on another color Caffeinated, so I needed another color to go with that, and that's where Celebrity comes in. There are a few more colors I plan on ordering this week (I told you, I'm obsessed)
5. Zit Zapper (you heard me right) - $1 - Zaps zits away with the unique blend of salicylic acid, tree tea oil, witch hazel and camphor. The special clear formula helps ti fight and prevent acne, reduce redness and swelling, minimize poor size and clear skin. Thankfully I haven't had a breakout, but you know that time of the month is coming so I'm sure I'll be needing this.
6. Eye Brightener - $3 -Perks up those tired eyes and diminishes the appearance of dark shadows. Infused with Chamomile, Greet Tea, Mulberry and Vitamins C & E to nourish, tighten and refresh! Great for using as an eyeshadow base or around the nose, lips, and anywhere you want to brighten and revitalize.
7. Mineral Lipstick in Runaway Pink - $5 - Exotic oils and natural waxes, vitamins, and plant extracts creates the perfect moisturizing formula. This color reminds me of MAC's "Angel" color....perhaps a little lighter, but very similar.
*All their mineral makeup is 100% mineral bases with no parabens, no preservatives, and no chemical dyes.
Scott Vincent Borba (you know Borba skincare at places like Sephora?) is the co-founder of E.L.F cosmetics!

More E.L.F
I'm telling you, I can't get enough of E.L.F. cosmetics. They are super cheap, yet the makeup itself isn't cheap. Today I received my newest order which consists of their Golden Bronzer for only $3 and it's fabulous.
I also purchased their mineral eyeshadow in Caffeinated which I wore today and I absolutely LOVE!
And their Eye Primer and Liner Sealer which sets your eyeshadow so you don't get the makeup creases along with the liner sealer which keeps your eyeliner from running down your eyes.
All of the above product was only $3 each, but if you subscribe to their website, they send you coupons all the time....the coupon I used for the above product was buy one, get one half off. I seriously spent barely $14 and I got like 6 things.
I also got their Natural Nymph lipstick... I've always worn Angel or Snob by MAC to give me that "natural", but I wanted something a little more nude, so I went with ELF's Natural color and I wore it today and I have to say, I'm impressed. So now, I'm going back online and buying like 3 more colors.
I just found out they now have cream eyeliner....I can't wait to use it. I'll let you know what I think when I buy it. I just received my product today and I'm already placing another order. They're having a sale right now....the buy one get one half off! Hurry, sale ends Oct. 4th. Happy shopping!

New Fav Eyeliner
I was strolling the isle of Target when I spotted some eyeliner from Maybelline; I thought it's only $7, why not?! I used it this whole week and I am absolutely in LOVE! Love it more than the MAC Fluidline.
The gel formula is richly pigmented and hold more color than the traditional liquid liner. It glides on beautifully, unlike the pencil counterpart that I swear pulls the crap out of my eyelid! The brush (which is included) is thin tipped but gathers generous amounts of gel liner. Available in four shades: Blackest Black, Brown Charcoal, and Eggplant.

Lush Bubblegum Lip Scrub
My girl Summer put me on the new beauty line Lush over at her blog awhile ago, but I had never tried it until she gave me the Lush Bubblegum Lip Scrub ($8.95) this past weekend for my birthday. All I can say is I am in LOVE with it.
Lush Lip Scrub helps exfoliate dry, chapped lips. Just apply some to your lips with your finger, and either rub the sugar with your finger or move your lips back and forth. When you're done, lick the sugar off and enjoy your softer lips and yummy taste.
Check out their website here for other great finds. I promise, you'll be just as addicted as I am. All their products from skin care to hair care all fresh handmade cosmetics.
Thanks Summer for my birthday presents!

Beauty On A Budget
It's no surprise that the economy is still hurting and people are budgeting like no other nowadays, and I'm no exception. I've always been one to budget, the boyfriend often laughs at me because I will see something that's over $20, freak out, and then put it back. Most of my clothes are from Forever 21, Love Culture, or Target and are normally on sale or under $20 (I don't know where my infatuation of not spending over $20 comes from). To cut costs, I'm all about giving myself mani's/pedi's (although every now and then I'll treat myself to a salon pedi....with a discount coupon of course) and doing my own waxing, hair coloring, etc. just to save a buck or two. The only thing that I haven't really budgeted on is my makeup, I LOVE my MAC, but this week has been rough (I didn't even get my Starbucks this morning,....the horror) money wise and I had to do a little penny pinching....but let me tell you, I've found some awesome stuff, let me show you.
The bf and I were having a Sunday date so I needed to get ready and my face put on:
I first put on my concealer that I've had and then I wanted my powder to cover up my blotchy skin. I'm always skeptical to purchase powder at Target, Wal-Mart or some other drugstore because you never know the right color you will get, but I took a chance on Loreal's Color Match powder (I read the little helpful hints, chose my color, crossed my fingers and hoped for the best). When I went home and put the powder on, wouldn't you know, it did what it said it would do and the color matched perfect, and it only cost me $8 compared to the $30 I spend on MAC Studio Fix
I've told you before about E.L.F. cosmetics where everything costs from $1.00-$3.00. You can get everything online or most Targets now carry it. I put E.L.F. eyeshadow primer, along with Glow Blush, and highlighted my eyes (so I didn't look tired) with E.L.F.'s highlighter. All three items cost me $3.

To finish out my bronzy look, I used Cover Girls Gold Sizzle Eyeshadow- which only cost me $3.

I threw on some lipgloss that I have at home and went on my Sunday date with the bf. Although I doubt I'll leave my MAC forever, it's nice to know, I can take a little break from it and still remain decent looking. LOL.
Now, it's not my greatest makeup look, but at least I won't scare the kids with my unmasked, no makeup face when I hit the public...LOL... this is how my $15 or so makeup looked when done. As you can see, the powder matched my skin tone. Wooop!

My New Fav Designer
Lena Hoschek from Austria. I am absolutely loving her 2010/2011 collection. The main inspiration for her autumn/winter 2010/11 collection comes from the chap’s world: exquisite tweed tailoring, shirts of fine Italian cotton, in perfect liaison with suspenders, vests, ties and silken pocket squares.
The complex couture of the dandy, celebrating perfection in dress and manner. Too bad Lena Hoschek designs for women only. Full skirts, girly details and curve-hugging cuts ensure that the masculine never dominates the feminine. The silhouettes always speak the language of Lena Hoschek’s favourite era, the 40s and 50s. Forever 21 to Launch New Make-Up Line

Forever 21 is expanding their brand with the introduction of Love & Beauty, the new Forever 21 cosmetic line. Forever 21 spokeswoman Kirstin Nagle said, "It made sense as a next step. If you think of our customer, she loves being on-trend and, to complete her look, we had everything in our stores except the cosmetics piece."
The range will cover all the makeup bases, with products for lips, eyes, nails, face, fragrance, and assorted tools and accessories like cosmetic bags, tweezers and brushes. And, in keeping with Forever 21's signature pricing, nothing costs more than $10. But, don't let that fool you into thinking that the makeup isn't of good quality; Nagle says, "We are using a lot of the vendors that are making prestige cosmetics. It is the same quality as prestige vendors, but at Forever 21 prices."
