Happy Mother's Day

Today is a bitter sweet day for me, although I have the greatest step-mom in the world, whom I've known and who has loved me like her own since I was 2, I still can't help but miss my mommy. I love you mommy.

To all the mommy's out there, you were given the most precious gift...don't forget to cherish it, even when the kids drive you crazy. LOL.

Happy New Year

2009 started off rough for the boyfriend and I; we both lost our jobs and the stress of it all took it's toll on our relationship. Thankfully though our love conquered all and we pushed forward. As 2009 came to a close, things are looking much better for 2010. My new job is going well and his clothing line, Dearly Departed, is taking off, and our relationship is better than ever. We have our health, friends, and family...this will be a good year. So cheers to old friends, new friends, friends we have yet to meet, my family, fantastic family, my boyfriend, and to all of you that read this blog and all my nonsense, I wish you a Happy and prosperous New Year!

6. My BBM and Facebook for without you my days would seem so much longer
5. I'm thankful that I've been able to hit the gym and lose 20 pounds!
4. My Niece, Nephew and Godkids.... you make me want to be a better role model!
3. Dearly Departed, Summer, Fantastic Family, James, and all my dear friends (you know who you are).... you all keep me focused and on my game.

It Never Rains in Southern California...

Last weekend, the BF, my dad, and I all jumped in the car and headed to Cali for the weekend for my cousins wedding. I had so much fun...all my cousins and relatives danced the night away on the dance floor and I was even able to dance with my dad. I have NEVER seen him dance to fast songs before. It was hilarious. He was doing the air guitar all over the place.

And what topped off my night was my babes slowed dance with me. This is a huge step in our relationship. LOL.

On Sunday, we headed down to the beach to steal some kaiaks but that didn't go according to plan. My younger cousin (keep in mind, she's still 20) got angry and kicked a rose bush.... and guess who won? The rose bush... lmao. Never fight a rose bush.. the thorns will attack you. Lets just say there was some blood and screaming. LOL.

Anyway, it was good times all around and forgot how much I missed my family out there. Thank you to everyone. We heart you.

R.I.P Jake

Tuesday afternoon my mom and dad put the family dog to sleep. He had cancer that was spreading and he was unable to walk. It was so sad to watch especially knowing the kind of dog he once was. It wasn't an easy decision to make, but one that was necessary. I will miss him for as long as I live. Jake, you were the best dog ever and I will forever miss you.

Here are a few things that I will remember about you:

Playing hide-n-seek with Laura and me (seriously, we would hide and he would find us)
You afraid of the vacuum cleaner and ironing board....always running from them

Never wanting to go in the backyard to pee by yourself...you were so spoiled. I loved how I would tell you to go outside and you would lie on your back with your paws in the air because you knew I couldn't pick you up that way to put you outside.

How dad would ground you from the front yard after you would take off down the street to the neighbors house. What dog do you know that would get grounded?

I am going to miss how you would talk to me about your day.... (no, I'm not crazy, the dog would make moaning noises like he was talking).

Or when we would have people at the house and dad would yell at you to go lie down on your bed and you would go and pout in the corner and sigh the whole time.

Or when Laura and I would play fight with one another and which ever one of us that was getting "beat up" you would nibble and slobber on the arm of the attacker. It was so funny because it was like you were trying to defend whoever was getting their ass kicked. But you always made sure not to "bite" too hard. It was like you knew we were all playing.

I loved how when I would sleep over at the house and Laura and I would share the bed, you would jump between us and sleep with us, and then get so annoyed in the middle of the night because there was no room that you would go to the floor.

I'm gonna miss how Laura and I would run into her room with you following behind us and then we would try to hold the door shut on you so you couldn't get in, and you would whine and cry and push your way thru until you got in. It was like you always had to be around us.

I love when Laura and I would say the word, "Walk" or "Coffee" and you would get so damn excited that you would haul ass around the house and start jumping over the couch and then dad would yell at you to behave. He would always talk to you like you were a person.

Jake, you were one of my best friends, so loyal and kind. You will be missed my friend. Rest in peace, boy!

The Best Dog, Ever

My family dog, Jake, has been apart of the family for nearly 13 years now, we found out a year ago that he has cancer, but even though he's sick, he still has so much personality. I actually think he believes he's human. On Christmas morning, he was the first one to be under the tree searching for his presents. ish was hilarious. Just wanted you all to meet the greatest dog ever.
